Struggling to choose a pathway?

Knowing exactly what you need to book can be difficult. This page contains more info to help you decide on your booking.

Choosing your Pathway

Alongside standalone specific treatments we also offer specific health pathways for some of the more common conditions that we see. These are all based upon an initial consultation and then a treatment plan is created that can utilise the various modalities and services that we offer. This could include various aspects such as combination treatments such as massage and acupuncture together, or alternatively could be sessions of each. Along side this we also offer a variety of packages that can help make you pathways more affordable. As we try and tailor everything to you along with our standard packages, we can also create tailor made ones for the specifics that’s required for you.
All of our first sessions include the following three aspects: A thorough consultation, that may include a variety off assessments; a creation of your bespoke treatment plan and your best route for journeying through the various services we offer and the practitioners best suited for you; and then a treatment in which best suits you for the remainder of the time, some times people have a very strong preference of the treatment in mind, whereas others have no idea and the practitioner can suggest what they believe to be best.
In the sessions we will provide either hot or cold drinks for you if needed, blankets or coverings as often to treat area we will need access to the skin directly either to massage or add needles. This means you don’t need to worry about what you wear to the session, however you may wish to bring shorts or a hair tie. We would request that you bring any copies of medical notes including prescriptions or scan results for our practitioners to help them get a better understanding, if you are unable to bring these then don’t worry.
Our main pathways:

Musculoskeletal and Sports Injury pathway (click here to book)

This pathway is for anyone with injuries to the muscles, nerves, or joints within the body and helping to ease pain or improve range of motion within them. This could include things like sciatica, back pain, shoulder or neck problems, arm problems. Here could also include general aches or pains in the muscles too. As everyone is different, various combinations of modalities are used however, he most common ones that are used is massage, cupping, and acupuncture.

Chronic Health conditions or multiple syndromes (click here to book)

This is for people with Multiple conditions that you’re seeking help but not quite sure which exactly you fit best. Along side this it is for anyone that are unsure exactly which pathway. As this is done with the lead practitioner often with another practitioner sitting in on the first consultation to help get the best out of the sessions too.

Pain, fatigue, Migraine and/or Neurological  management (click here to book.)

While these can be for people suffering from all three at the same time. This is also just as relevant if you are suffering with any one of these as your main complaint, along with any other symptoms you may have a long side this we can look at here, as we are for more interested in you than your symptoms. We will go through a detailed consultation and examination to see exactly how you’re being impact and working on your route to recovery. This could include looking at muscle tightness, tremors, cognitive function, range of movement, and strength too. There is also scope to include classes or separate sessions on Qigong, Tai Chi, and Dao Yin yoga, in which our Director James has experience teaching these at Lincolns MS therapy centre. For fatigue management we would normally recommend a combination of your treatment sessions and herbal medicine too.

Another area that can be helped here especially with the use of acupuncture is migraines and headache pain management using both local points and distal points to help. It can help by looking at relaxing the muscles around the area in the head neck and scalp, relaxing the person and reducing their stress, helping improve blood flow, and other various ways too.

Lymphatic drainage Acupuncture, reflexology, and/or massage (click here to book)

There are many reasons in which people are needing these services, this could be to help their symptoms. Often these are from Post operative surgery, lymphedema, removing toxins, and various other reasons. For postoperative and lymphedema the majority of the treatment will be based upon the local areas that need working on, when needed supplementation working further into the lymphatic system to improve the outcome of the treatment.

Female Hormonal Health (click here to book)

This is for anyone with what they would class as their main complaint been based upon Female hormone and gynaecological health. This could be for menopausal issues, reproductive and fertility issues, or other conditions that may impact women’s health. Along side the treatments when needed we may also recommend herbal medicinal supplements with support too. While in these sessions we will look into lots of symptoms presented and look to find what is called the syndrome pattern in Chinese medicine, which roughly translates better as the underlying link between these. Rather than symptom chasing and treating each symptom once its presented. Acupuncture and TCM, instead jumps ahead and treats the link between them and works on the long game so that the cause of these can be worked on instead. This will mean that a steady treatment plan will be made that while will be unique for you, will not vary too much from week to week as it takes time for this to take effect.

Stress, Trauma, Emotional, and/or Mental Health Management (click here to book)

This is for anyone that has a main complaint they are looking for help with as been one of these areas. While there can often be other symptoms including physical ones too, this can still be worked here as part of the session. Within the treatments it will be worked at a speed that is right for you, and will help to create a safe place to discuss as much or as little as you prefer when is right for you. Not only is this having treatments, but often herbal medicine can be included to use between the session too. Along side the physical sessions coaching to help deal with activities either as part of the session or as its own separate sessions too. There is also the option to include counselling too as part of the packages we offer.

Acupuncture for long term health and symptom management

This is for people that are looking for acupuncture to manage long-term health conditions they may have, and gives you the chance to get to take control of your health creating a plan for you. This is far more than just acupuncture but also focuses just as equally into lifestyle advice helping you to implement between the sessions, be it using TCM nutritional advice, physical activity management, mindfulness processes, task management suggestions and many other ways. On top of this it will be also looking at aspects of the life that may be making these worse and how you can get on top of them to be able to reduce the impact they have so your quality of life can be improved.
